Introduction to Pull Stud
Pull studs, also called retention knobs, are used for connecting tool holders to the machines drawbar. Available with or without through coolant and in an O-Ring style to prevent coolant leakage.
Mainly used for screwing in large taper tool holders, workpiece supports and pallets. In combination with SSK clamps, they are used to suck in and eject the above mentioned machine elements.
The dimensions, surface quality, hardness and strength values of Pull studs comply with the values specified in DIN, ANSI, ISO, MAS and JIS standards.

Pull Stud working principle
One end of the Pull Stud is connected to the machine tool bayonet, and the other end is connected to the tool holder. The d part is stuck in according to the degree of the machine tool bayonet. The g part has threads and the tool holder is tightened. The axial force transmitted through the tie rod and the tie rod joint and Pull Stud , to tighten the tool handle. When changing tools, it is required to loosen the tool handle. When Pull Stud is installed on the spindle of an ordinary machine tool or CNC machine tool, the arc joint of the rod body is connected to the front end of the tie rod structure, and the screw joint of Pull Stud extends into the spindle axis hole. The inner screw holes of the tool holder are matched and connected. The tool holder can be used on ordinary machine tools and CNC machine tools, so that the tool holder can be used not only on machining centers, but also on ordinary machine tools and CNC machine tools, which improves the tool holder. The versatility reduces production costs.
